Rich in history and comfort, the beautifully renovated Schurmeier Loft Apartments offer studio, one and two bedroom apartments with unique floor plans, high-end finishes, spacious floor plans and inviting communal spaces all in a great location.
St. Paul’s Lafayette neighborhood was once a bustling neighborhood filled with stately homes and the city’s elite. James J. Hill along with the Schurmeier family once resided in this part of town known as “Mansion Row.” But, as the city grew and industry boomed, the area began to transition. By 1917, the neighborhood had changed dramatically as the Great Northern Railway was redirected through the Lafayette neighborhood and brought more industry to the area. The Schurmeier Wagon Company was a wagon manufacturing plant and houses today’s Schurmeier Loft Apartments.
